I have tried both 100 and 150.
I have settled on 100. I actually lost accuracy with 150. It is not needed for Florida 100yd or less shots.
If you were constantly shooting 200+ I would recommend it
You have to match the powder to the bullet. Unless you are using a 350 or larger grain bullet it will fly wild. I use 100gr pyrodex and 245 eurotip out of my Encore. 2'' groups at 100yds. I have only lost 1 deer in 6 years because of a poorly placed shot at 20yds (bad angle). I have pulled many bullets out of deer with great expansion. I use pellets because I dont like to carry loose powder.
I shoot at Dade city often if anyone needs help with with a muzzleloader.
