Decided to go scout a WMA I had never been to before. While doing some ariels I noticed some fishable ponds. After not being to impressed with the hunting opportunity. I decided to drop the canoe in a pond. I am glad I did. I ended up catching a 10 in bluegill, and 9 bass in 2 hours of fishing. I was using a small shallow running crank bait. 7 of the bass were in the 1lb to 1 1/2lb range, 1 was 4 to 5 lbs, and the last 1 was a toad 24 inches with out pinching the tail. I am guessing 6 1/2 to 7lbs.

Thought I would throw in a pic of a 32in snook I caught last week throwing a yozuri on the beach. To bad they just decided to keep snook closed until Sept. 2012. I have had no trouble catching them.
sounds like a good scouting trip and nice snook!
Talk about making lemonade from lemons...Thats a nice looking fish.
Awesome and great job!
