I started a thread sminilar to this one on the Ocala Forest and received some great information from our members I am currently following up on. In my search for some land inside of or next to a WMA for a hunt camp, I have come across some lots next to a couple of other WMA's I am not familiar with, ie Green Swamp, Bull Creek, Buck Lake etc.
So my new questions is this. If you could purchase any land next to or inside of a WMA that is within +/- 1.5 hours from Orlando, which one would it be and why?
Just from what I've seen on this forum; Green Swamp. I don't know much about the other 2 WMA's, but GS has some good deer coming out of it. Also don't know much about surrounding areas of GS. Good luck.
Green Swamp for sure.
I shot my first hog in green swamp. always saw game in there. get the lay of the land there and u will never want to go anywhere else.
