Have any of you guys ever gotten a hog out of Citrus? I have hunted there several times and have never even seen one. I have seen a ton of nice deer, turkey and the biggest gator of all time, but never a hog. I live pretty close and have Jeeped there all times of the day.
heard a pretty large group of them at fire rds 11 and 24 while still dark, but they shut up just before light. check out that northeast corner of woods. no guarantees.
There was a pretty good population in ONE area of the WMA at one time. I haven't hunted there in a couple seasons now, since I don't do the public land thing any more. Almost every single time I deer hunted there I either saw hogs, or fresh hog sign. I passed on hogs many times wanting to take a deer
The problem is everyone finds out where a population of animals is and tells everyone else. Then they get on the internet and tell where they are. Pretty soon the area gets flooded with people. Either the animals get shot out, go completely nocturnal, or move out. I think thats what happened there.
Sorta like telling everyone in the world which oyster bar is holding redfish regularly.

I can only hope that happens and it pushes them towards my private prop area.
