Heading out early sat morning. I plan on being in the stand from am dark to pm dark and my buddy is only going with on sat morn. hopefully the spot i have picked out will produce something. I see hog sign in there all year long, and last year during small game i had a whole herd of deer drinking from a swamp in front of me. It is not a long walk, or tough to get to, but i gotta be able to go quick if my grampa needs me. Anybody going besides myself, good luck to ya and hope to see ya out there.

had a great weekend. didnt see much but a turtle from my stand sat. got out and stalked sun. had a doe in front of me for a while while i was sitting on a stump, she sprayed and browsed around and sprayed some more. i think the rut is heating up. i waited 2 hrs for a suitor to show up but he never came thru. went back to the truck had a lil lunch then went to check my stand area, on the way i heard some hogs rustling in the palmettos and tried ti get them to come into view but they never did, and i dont shoot into bushes.
