I heard the state has thinned out the hog on the island two years ago.
Hopefully the deer population will increase.
We take a boat. There is a ferry though that will take you over the 1st day and pick you up on the last.

The ideal boat to take is a jon boat or a gheenoe imo. Easy to pull up on shore so you don't have to worry about the water getting rough while anchored and you're miles away in your stand. Downside is if it gets rough you may be stuck on the island for a while. We're not doing the sambar hunt this year but am gonna put in for it next year. It always coincides with a quota hunt we do at Blanding.
That wouldn't be a turkey hunt at Blanding would it? I swear you look familiar.
General gun. My buddy really likes the place. We got the smokepole hunt in there this year also.
