So it appears that between the archery season and small game shotgun season they have added a muzzleloading season for hog only from nov 3-9. i did not draw a ml permit so i think i will head down there and see if i can get a hog.

yessir. none of the hunts at myakka sga are quota hunts so far as i know unless i misread something.

I thought they were pretty much all trapped out.
I have a friend that lives near there and he had told me about seeing a lot of hogs 4+ years ago but in recent years he said it very rare to see one. I think he said he's only seen about 3 in last 4 years.
all you need is the daily use permit nacho, kc45 i believe there are still plenty of hogs down there. last year i went down for a few hours, and hogs were moving around pretty good at 8 am. i just never saw any. loads of doves down there as well. i will go for a small game hunt as well this year.
