There has to be a better way...
Is there a way for someone like me who didn't get picked for any SO to hunt on public land?
Do most WMA have open gun season when you can just walk in to hunt?
I usually donate $100 per year but have never drawn the 1 hunt I try for. Not sure what's around you kc but you need to go through each WMA brochure to see which ones don't require a quota to hunt. I think if you do a search on myfwc.com you can find a list of non quota wma's.

It all depends. Did you put in for regular quota hunts?
I 2nd Dony's post - check the WMA's around you and see if they allow hunting after 1st 9 days or quota periods.

Thank you all for your help. I'm down in Miramar City in Broward county.
All this time that I've been on myfwc.com I never knew there was access to a brochure for every WMA area.
I'm going to print out all I can tonight and spend next couple days reading them all.
