It has not really been that bad. Opening weekend I only say 5 other trucks and no hunters. Last weekend there were more but in comparison to other WMA's I've been to it was not bad at all. I say one hunter walking through the cypress swamp on Saturday. Most of the hunters are parked at the locked gates walking the roads. If you find a game trail to follow off the side of the road it would seem to me that you would have no hunters around you. This was my first year hunting there and it is my new favorite WMA. I will be hunting Antlerless at my property this weekend and scouting Citrus in the afternoon, so will not be going. Please let us know how it was if you go.

This year they decided to offer 350 antlerless permits, up 50 from last year. They are all sold out, yea! the woods will be full of hunters. I saw lots of road hunters during muzzleloader also.
Hope I don't find lots of hunters where I scouted.

Most of the deer sign I saw was way close to the road.... I may just go to the green swamp opener instead...
