I had a chance to vist this area for the 1st time last week and am thinking about hitting it tommorow morning for the last day of deer season. We seen alot of hog sign and did manage to jump one good size deer around noon. Does anyone else have any experience with this WMA? I seen alot of tape up but only heard two shots in the 5 hours we stalked around. Any advice would be appreciated.

i was out there last year and saw tons of hog sign and a little deer sign also. there are some big ones out there and there are a few spots that have naturally growing citris trees.

To many hunters at the beginning of the year. It gets over run.

Based upon the amount of tape and hacked down vegetation I seen out there I would not doubt it. I am tempted to drop my boat in at the Sanford marina and enter that place from the river. Perhaps I would have a better chance of finding out where all those hogs are hiding during the day.

the river entrances are allways better.. chazz has a way higher population to harvest from the river on the little islands. never thought hogs would swim across water until i saw a pack of 40 of them coming towards me one day.. lol.. i was like WTF?
