Out turkey spot this past spring you had to wade through about waist deep water. That was interesting at 5am trippin over submerged cypress knees. gonna keep doing it though cause no one walks though that stuff :toast

lafayette has lots of hogs...i got family hunt permit and just scouted it...saw all kinds of animals. go there and you will do good.

I generaly use the " George Costanza method ) find out how /where everybody else is hunting and do the OPPOSITE, get as far away from them as possible. thats how I got my first and only hog ,on a wma, everybody was going south, so I went north and bingo. also another tip ( something that is natural for me ) move very slow and quiet and actualy look and listen and try to break up/change the speed /cadence/ direction of travel a bit . it keeps them nervous not sure where youre going and less likely to just stay hidden and let you walk on by.

Best way to find out is to get your butt out there and do some scouting!I wouldn't take anyones word as 100%.
