was up in Crystal River today. stopped and walked around the wma for alittle bit. saw ALOT of fresh hog sign. Walked up to about 8 hen turkeys. got about 15 yards from them , just mouthing some purrs and clucks. and that was all within 200 yds of the gate. might have to due some research into hunting this WMA.

i guess, i missed the boat on this one this year. might try for it next year. If I remember. I wouldn't mind trying to get one of the available for Hichory Hammock. that is a nice WMA also. have walked that one before.

Both of those are very high demand WMA's. I put in for Homosassa archery, did not get it. Hogman got it though

Wasn't there a thread here yesterday about Lower Suwanee? I drew a Croom permit this year,I walk there from my house. I wish I could bow hunt there. I was feeding them a few years ago and had about ten does coming overe every day. Thena big old buck moved in. He tore up a bunch of 1" oak saplings and made a bunch of scrapes around my feeder.I'll never do it again,I never seen the buck and twenty trucks were lined up by my kids bus top opening morn. I guess everyone was seeing them crossing the road to my back yard, some dudes were in stands right next to the road.
