I was walking out a trail from Tanic to Main Grade last Saturday afternoon and came upon a hunter who told me he was camping on the 471 side. He knew of a hunter who had 2 tree stands stolen this past weekend.
You better be pretty sure of yourself dropping names like that.You could get yourself and this website in trouble if you are wrong.
That eastern boundary fence wouldn't need much cutting, its falling apart in many places. Wonder how the hell somebodies getting horses and dogs across that van fleet trail..... pretty sure it runs the entire east side...
they have access to the property between the van fleet trail and greenswamp,they have a road that croses it.they put a whole new fence up 5 yrs ago on the east side but they have butchered it..the richloam hunters cut the fence opening weekend on 3run beside the gate thats right beside the road an are driving in like crazy catching dogs an turnin dogs loose..im very sure of the names i mentioned..no it wasnt your imagination,the east side of powder is full of dog an horse trax..they are propably the ones that got your buddys climbers...think they need to open horse season in the swamp.."i swear officer,i thought it was a big brown deer"....
Interesting thread. Well its a sad part of the hunting game that people poach. First thing to remember is that leaving property on public land is no way guaranteed. You have a good chance of losing your stuff. Poachers are everywhere and will poach for many reasons that i don't care to ask.
game wardens are there to stop this. And there are bad apples in every walk of life. If there is a known fact that you need to take up with FWC please call them and tell them. The Florida FWC is one of the highest authorities in the state of florida and would love to hear form you if theres an issue..

Also when you buy your wma permit.. you should know that Horses are allowed on a wma. if specified.
