My wife and I were invited over to my daughter's house last night for dinner. Her husband had to work late so I was elected to do the grilling. She had prepared shrimp and sausage kabobs. It was an easy recipe:
2lbs of shrimp
2lbs of beef sausage (we used Hillshire Farms Smoked Sausage)
new potatoes with skin on
corn on the cob
butter
Old Bay Seasoning
Boil potatoes until they are soft but not mushy. Cut potatoes into chunks, cut sausage into bit size peices, cut corn into pieces about 1.5 to 2". Place on wooden skewers alternating potatoe, shrimp, sausage, corn. Melt butter stirring in the Old Bay seasoning and brush on the kabobs. Place on a hot grill and cook until the shrimp is done.
That's all there is to it. It tastes as good as it looks. Once I got it all grilled up she served it with fresh salad and french bread. The corn was hard for her to put on the skewers without breaking them so we wrapped it up in foil with some butter and Old Bay and put it on the grill. It was amazing. These ingredients are what's in a traditional Low Country Boil that we do when it's cold out. Only thing is, you are grilling and not boiling everything. It's great!
WOW.........Looks great.
Y'all must have a big family! There's enough food to feed the army. It really looks good, as we prepare to it leftovers here at Starvation Plantation. Treefarmer

Yeah, there's quite a few of us. I have 5 married kid's plus two still at home and 7 grandchildren so far. So it takes a bit to feed us all at the same time :>) They all live within 20 minutes of me. Been doing a lot of meals at grandma & grandpa's house lately after church so they thought they would treat us. Great kids.
9dawgs, Our 3 children have all moved from our home, the closest is an hour away and the farthest is north east of Atlanta. Kinda makes me envious of folks who are blessed to have their families close enough to have such great times as you have described. We get to see each of them a few times each year. For last several years, them coming home for Thanksgiving has become a "tradition" that makes me realize how much it means to have 'em all here at one time(even if it is the 1st day of rifle season in the Panhandle)!
