Fish fry at PCBfish's house tonight. I heard he won't be there!

So I have a couple lbs of grunt fillets that are frozen solid in ziplock bags. What's the best method to thaw them out for a fish fry? Put them in the fridge? The fridge maintains 36-38 degrees. Will they be safe to thaw out in there?
