These are a party favorite. Guaranteed to be a hit.
Jalapeño peppers (slice length wise and pull out the membrane and most of the seeds)
Smear inside of pepper half with a big dollop of cream cheese
Place on the cream cheese 1 Lit'l smokie (can substitute a shrimp or scallop)
wrap in 1/2 slice of bacon, and toothpick together
*make these up ahead of time and place in the fridge so that the cream cheese is very cold, so it won't runEither smoke these in a smoker at 250-300, or grill away from direct heat and flame. cook until the bacon is done. Should take about 45 minutes. Some folks like to pre-microwave the bacon prior to wrapping it, but with a 1/2 slice its not really necessary
That is nasty nasty nasty unless you chnage (cream chese to cheddar)
I dont like cream chesse and Jalapenoes
Now if you batter them say deep fry them (cheddar of course) and make a Raspberry diping sauce. Oh yea the hotter the better.
Raspberry really does go good with them.
With the shrimp leave out the cheese all together. Really dont srape all the goodness out of the peppers if you like them with heat.

Thats merely your opinion. Raspberries and Jalapeños actually sounds nasty to me. And heat doesn't scare me
Im growing Bhuts, fatalli's, aji's, 7-pots, and trinidad scorpions
Yep thats was actually my thought when it was first placed infront of me. It was like WHAT THE HE&& IS THIS. But tried it and it was actually way better than i ever thought. This was on a good deep fryed popper. I just dont like the cream cheese in them. I like it on bagels.
Next time I make them I'm going to try some different cheeses but, the cream cheese worked for me.
