One thing I am seriously thinking of getting is a foot switch for mine. I do it by myself, and there are times you need to stop the machine quick. Always gotta flip the switch with grubby hands

Iluv2hunt, I really like the Northern 15# stuffer. When I bought it LEM had the same identical stuffer but it was quite a bit more expensive. The only difference at that time was the label. Made in China, but it is well made, heavy steel frame, good quality stainless steel container, 3 sizes of tubes, steel gears, very easy clean up. Was using an antique Enterprise stuffer and it was a chore to use, even tried stuffing with the grinder and it just didn't do well, had the right plate, etc. made a mushy sausage meat. Been using this one now going on 4 years and no trouble. Treefarmer

Bought one from bass pro a few months ago, I love the thing, good solid construction. depends on what you want to pay for the quality though, I got the 1hp motor model and haven't had one issue with it yet

Hand crank grinder to start. They can be had cheaply....

Other wise I pay a good butcher $40 plus $1 lb for anything made into sausage. Usually a $50-60 deal, cleaned, cut, seasoned and wrapped!
