Whos getting ready for the turkeys?

Problem is the section they are in is closed to small game hunting

i just want to see if i can get one to talk.

Little early yet. They should start soon. A friend of mine heard one cut loose in Croom this past weekend, but only gobbled one time.
I saw one 2 weeks ago in N Fl spitting and acting crazy on the roost. He flew down with some hens and hit the ground strutting and drumming but never gobbled. The hens wanted nothing to do with him

i have never hunted for turkey. seen a pile of them in the woods while hog and deer hunting. someday.
