Iluv2hunt is 100% correct never false call in season or out in an area youwant to hunt look forroosting trees and feeing area's.If you have to call use a decoy so other birds come in then let them stay around for the toms.A smart tom will come in and see no birds he will learn fast about calls.
Now if you really need to learn with a call use a gobbler to find toms and then hen call to bring them in to you.This works well with the "run and gun" method!Just remember a seasoned tom will learn fast and a jake will take up his slack but they will soon learn also!
