So heres the deal. I recently moved to the panama city area (Not on purpose) 🙂 military loves me that much. I was more than happy on my own land in Louisiana. But anyways the great thing i enjoy bout florida is the hog hunting. I have never been before and would love to go. I am looking for some sort of lease or hunting grounds (No WMA's) around these parts. I dont even know where to begin to look. If there is anyone out there from around here can you be so courteous as to pointing me in the right direction. Im SOOO pissed the made me move in the middle of deer hunting season. I know there are alot of verterans around these parts so i know this is going to be a good place sorrounded by great people. thank you for your help. And if i posted this in the wrong forum i do apologize.

Welcome to the site. There are a lot of leases up in the area just north of Tyndall. Westervelt wildlife has some right off of Star Road on Tram road. Personally, I didn't see much hog activity on the Bear Creek (Westervelt) properties except for a couple areas (FLBC65 area).
Don't knock the WMAs. Choctawhatchee River WMA is a fine area full of deer and hogs. You just need a jon boat and motor to get to the good spots.

Would never knock on WMA's :no . My first two weekends I was here i went to the Choctawatchee River. Saw a bunch of squirrells but thats about it. I dont suppose my fiberglass bass boat can get me in those spots you are talking about will they papa? And the only reason I dont like WMA's is because I dont know who is in the woods with me and if I am "legal". Public land to hunt on was hard to come by in LA
