think I saw my first hog this morning at chazz. I was about 75-100 yds from a 3 rail fence well marked private property NO TRESPASSING, where I spotted glimpses of either a very large sow or low to the ground cow. its back was between the first and second rail of the fence. got a good look at the backside no balls, or udders, but could never get a look at the head or the entire animal. it was about 150-200yds away and I had zeiss 10x40 binocs so what I could see I saw well. it was grazing non chalantly not digging or rootting. it was solid brown in color, didn't see any ear tags and it had a real chubby body for a calf, but I'm basicly a city kid. oh well regardless it definately had my attention and never left the private property, maybe it was the landowners pig? I would guess the wt at least 250-300lbs
Cows go moo,hogs go oink.
hogs make bacon, cows make t-bones. thats all I need to know
well whatever it was I'm goin back tomorrow am for another look, this cold weathers making me feel right at home, not a single skeeter today. mon and tue should be even colder.
