OK this will sound strange.

OK, so the lizard thing is new to us and after a $300 vet bill. We just found out that Savannah Monitors are omnivores unlike all other monitior lizards. They should only be getting meat 2x a month. This is going to be fun getting them to eat their vegies. It's going tobe like taking a Big Mac away from a fat man. 😆

Man, I'd get a second opinion! Everything I've read and heard about Savannah's is that they are carnivores like all other monitors.

Ya that's what we were told to, but they are the exeption to the rule. In the wild they found that they do not hunt for meat. If they come across it they eat it but they do not activly hunt it down like other monitors. I would think that the vet is full of himself but he is one of the top 3 exotic vet's in the state.

We have used those site befor and they have some BAD info on them.
