My firefighter buddy started hunting just last season. He went with us to a few WMA's and didn't see anything. He went up to Georgia to hunt at his friends place and didn't see anything all week. So I thought what better way to break the ice and teach him how to butcher his game. Yeah it's a canned hunt, but it'll be a good experience for him and I didn't shoot any hogs last season! Yes it's a canned hunt, but tell him to take time to observe the signs and take time to watch what they do before killing one. We had each taken a hog our first season (after tons and tons of time in a couple WMA's ) but choose to go there after season to get a bit more meat and observe them more.

Honestly I enjoyed going there. Its a bit of a haul for me though. That's where I did my first hunt and butchered my first hog on my own. I like the operation of TrapperDan's better. The folks at Tiger island were very nice though. I really enjoyed the spot and stalk there.

I went there, kinda soured my taste as they lied to me and said the property was way bigger than it actually was, I might go back out if I run into some money...
