Do NOT put stink corn in a feeder. It will just harden in the feeder into a solid cone clump and you'll have to dig it out. Them things are meant for dry feed, even that feeder fire stuff can gum em up.

You hunting by Saturn road? Use whole corn in a feeder, you can also make a bump feeder pretty cheap. Get a 55 gal drum from a feed store, clean out the pickle juice. 5/8 threaded rod and two fence posts of 4x4's. Drill hole thru poles and barrel insert rod. Use washers and nut to keep water out. Drill 1/2" hole on each side of barrel about 5" from bottom. It's better to put a piece of tin over 1/2" hole so they don't tear barrel up. Keep bottom of barrel about 1 foot off of ground. The idea is to keep them coming to it but they can't get a lot of corn out in one sitting. When they come they'll pound it for awhile, fight for it and take turns under it not paying attention to you.You can put 250 lb's of corn in them too.

DIG A HOLE? sounds like work, might break a sweat, or get a blister, Nacho don't play dat,

why dont you just befriend the hogs so they just walk up to you and get braodside and then skin themselves and jump on the barbecue? :no

If theres a lazy hog out there you might have luck. You think we all dont bust our ass working to get maybe 1 or 2 hogs.?

Lazy hunters dont kill nothing but time.

I'm not lazy (much) I like to think of it as being time/energy efficient. want to maximise time spent vs game taken. I don't have the time or energy to be out in the woods as much as you, yet but am working on it. you are fortunate to have alot more opportunities and connections via the forum than the avg Joe.considering I never hog hunted in my life, knew jack squat about it,I think I'm doing pretty good and learning alot very fast thanks to this site. I'm lucky to be able to squeeze in 3-4 hours at a time, rarely can I get an entire day to spend hunting. I'm happy with my progress so far. everyone has his own style and I agree # 1 is work the wind but I've learned from grouse and deer hunting that moving slow stealthy and quiet you will see more game than covering alot of miles faster.if they can hear you busting through the brush with a regular pattern/cadence to your walk their gonna sit tight and let you walk on by. jmo but by mixing up the speed and direction of travel you will make the game more nervous and likely to break and run/flush
