Went to move my camera today, so I waited till noon so I wouldn't spook anything. I got about half way out there and noticed a bunch of fresh rooting and tracks. Soon I could smell hogs and sure enough under a little oak tree layed about 15 of them. I walked right up to them, about 6 feet away. And just watched them. They looked so peaceful just sleeping and snoring away "lol" I wish I brought my camera. Well after about 2 min's one 50 pounder or so woke up and saw me. He ran into the palmettos, but when none of his buddies followed he returned back and layed down again :thumbs up: Funny stuff!
I continued to watch them for a few more min's and tried to sneak past them so to not wake the others. Well the big prego sow woke up and stepped on the another hog which in turn woke the others "lol" They ran about 50 yards and returned to the oak to sleep. I continued on my way, about 20 min longer walk. On my way back out guess who was sleeping under the tree. Yup the same bunch of pigs. This time they ran into the palmettos with a few sticking their heads out to watch me. Thats how you know it's hot out. When hogs refuse to leave the shade tree. This area was recently burned so shade isn't over abundant. Just thought I'd share this story. Two weeks from now they better get up and move or they wont be so fortunate.

None small enough to fit. Most were in the 50-100 pound range. And a few were about 130-150. Now I did think about sneaking up and tapping one on the shoulder. But decided being a mile from my truck all alone, it probably wasn't a good idea. "lol"
