Was wondering what would be a good rifle for my wife to do some hog hunting. Last time she used a .270, she seemed to like that, but she said she wanted something a little more lighter, and shorter. Maybe he would have to go with a youth sized rifle?

Although this will be my 1st season using it, you can't go wrong with a lever gun when it comes to weight and length.

A 30-30 would fit both specifications.

7mm-08 would be a good gun.

I was looking at a ruger 7mm-08, they are nice, my old man has one and he loves it. I think they call it a ranch carbine?
