IMHO anything for "hunting" that is Stainless is superior... Easier to clean and care for and much less likely to rust... $400 is a good price on a new one...

Don't wait to long, the Marlin SS 1894 in .357 has been holding tight at around $650-700, that's a great price at $400..

Considering that the blued steel Marlin 336 in Wal MArt is selling like hotcakes for $367,... $400 for the stainless is a deal

The blued were $300 or less a couple years ago. Shows what demand does for a product

Hey guys, I saw a Marlin 336 stainless steel at Dick's sporting goods for 400 dollars. Is that a good rifle compare to the regular blued finish?

You sure it was the Marlin? I have a catalog that shows the Rossi brand 30-30 in stainless. I haven't been in the store to check, so I may be wrong.
