as much as I love an open sighted lever if going with a scope, a short bbl 18-20" carbine style bolt action ultra light in a short action caliber like 243,7mm08 or 308 (rem mdl 7, browning a-bolt, ruger) is shorter,lighter, greater range, accuracy and stopping power.

The magazine capacity on a semi auto is 5... That's a lever action, so it can hold 50 and be legal...

Hey guys, I saw a Marlin 336 stainless steel at Dick's sporting goods for 400 dollars. Is that a good rifle compare to the regular blued finish?
