I got a bad case of it on my arms a few years ago, and nothing seemed to help. It had also been on my neck and the side of my face, but not as much. I went and got a cortisone shot and some ointment from the doctor, and that seemed to clear up my face and neck, but my arms just got worse and worse. So I looked up a bunch of home remedies online, and decided to use what I had in the house. First, I filled the sink up with water as hot as I could stand it, put in 2 cups of bleach, took a scotchbrite pad and scrubbed my arms under that water until they were bleeding, then let them soak for about 10 minutes. Rinsed them off real good, patted (not rubbed!) my arms dry. Then I soaked some cloths in white vinegar and wrapped them around the affected areas. Left them on for about 30 minutes. Took off the vinegar cloths, and made a paste out of baking soda and hot water, and washed the area with that. As a final measure, I took some GoJo with pumice and washed good with that, rinsed with hot water, patted dry, and let it scab over. Didn't have another itch, and no more new blisters! Took about a week for all the scratches and scrubbed off blister areas to heal, and I had marks on my arms for about a year after where all the blisters had been.
I swore I'd never take out one of johnl's old girlfriends again after that! 😳
