woke up at 4:30 am to pee sun am and decided to go hunting, got to homo wma at 5:20 and was the first one in, walked the rooks trail and saw some fresh hog sign but didn't see or hear anything. some nice places to go into the brush and set up blinds, I'll definately be back there. having a hard time finding 12 ga sabot slugs, I've got 5 federal barnes expanders and 10 hornady 300gr sst's, and plenty of 3" 00 buck. 4-hogs taken at homo and 8 at chazz as of this am. general gun starts at chazz mon 11/23 am without quota.

no, skank ape sightings. I had company from N.Y.,and my bro dropped in unexpectedly from N.C., so I was busy all weekend and up late each nite. I was lucky to get away sun am. Strunes was supposed to be hunting in that area seriously this weekend, haven't heard anything from him yet.
he lives on collington harbor in nags head on the outer banks, does alot of fishing, no hunting.
I have been hunting there 5 times this week and did not get anything. I talked to a guy that owns land there and he says they are having a hugh bear problem. The ranger told me about a 550 lb black bear that has been bothering hunters. I will be packing my 500 as a side arm. :rambo
I will be hunting the island behind Chass later this week and I should get something because as the shooting starts in Chass the deer move farther West. As far as the Homossasa WMA there is an entrance off Yulee rd that looks awesome. I might try that this week too. I will keep you guys posted................
