Hey all,
Just found this place. I've been looking for private land to bowhunt hogs for a while now without success. I am thinking it's probably going to force me to get in on some kinda lease or something. Since I have never, ever had to pay for hunting land I have no experience in such things. I am in Charlotte county and wouldn't care to drive an hour or so.
Can someone give me an idea of what it would cost to secure a place to hunt whenever I want?
Thanks

Look to spend 1000-1500 depending on your standards. Welcome to the forum.
In South Florida, you are going to spend a fortune on a lease. The lease fees are outrageous down there. You are looking at $3k and up. If you come to North Florida you can get a decent lease for $1000-1500/year and be able to hunt hogs year round
Welcome to the site. :toast
Thanks for the replies.
Doesn't look like I'll be doing any hunting.....
Stuff like this makes me really miss southern Ohio. In 45 minutes I could be in the middle of tens of thousands of acres of some of the best whitetail hunting in the world. I move down here thinking I'll be able to hunt pigs anytime I want and find out that hunting is now a wealthy mans pursuit. No offense to anyone, but there is no way on earth that I would pay $1000 to hunt pigs, let alone $3,000.
It's sad to see how people have ruined hunting. And to think there are people wondering why there are less and less hunting licenses and young people taking up hunting.
I guess I'll just enjoy shooting my bows at my Styrofoam target in the back yard.
