Mr. Lolo, thanks for the information. I'll stop by the Babcock office and talk to the FWC people and see what they say. I have stopped by there before and got a couple of people that didn't know too much about anything let alone hunting.

Sangster, its not the foam I have fun with it's my BOWS I enjoy. Thanks for your encouragement though.

If you wanna take a break from shootin at your foam targets you might want to check out the fishing scene. Most people that move to Florida take advantage of the great FREE fishing we have here, like I did, not the hunting. And if ya really want to get pissed at the price to hunt then move on down south by me. Mr. Lolo has it right about there being opportunities to hunt in Florida. Spend some time on the FWC site and you'll see that with some due diligence you can keep yourself in the woods. You'd be surprised at how much help you can get on some of the forums also when you get off your podium. Good luck on your search and may all your arrows hit foam. :archer

The only bass fishing spot I have located close to me is in Babcock-Webb. No access to a boat so that severely limits where I can go. I haven't found any places to bass fish on foot other than that.

You can catch bass in any canal or retention pond in SW FL, and don't let it fool you there are some big fish out there. No need for a big lake or boat, watch out for the gators though. Better yet, get some saltwater tackle and learn how to fish the gulf, inshore/offshore doesn't matter to me IMO. It was the best thing I ever did, I am hooked for life. There alot of bridges, piers, causeways etc where you can wet a line. I learned how to saltwater fish when I moved to Lee County, I still go back there every chance I get.
