🙄
I had some of the best eating pork I've has in a long time last night at the campfire. It was smoked with some kind of sweet and sour dry rub. The hog was a beautiful 100 lb gilt, corn fed from my lease. Nothing beats that in my book.BTW,on Fri I seen a piggy sow near my home feeding on the side of the road at 5:00 pm,seen a giant herd on the side of us 19 about 10:00 that nite, seen hundreds of tracks Sat morn in the club, seen a few crossing the roads at 10:30 am,seen more that eve feeding on the side of 51 around 6:30 pm. Weather was the same there as it was for you Nacho if that means anything.
Have to disagree with you, Jim... I have killed many many many hogs in my life and only had 1 that was too gamey to eat, and 1 that was too tough to eat(they both turned to sausage)
I read these reports all over forums all the time about not eating boar hogs. Every time I read one, I write my disagreement to the OP. Never understand it why people don't take some time to properly prep the meat.I shot 2 this year back to back. Both pushing 175 pounds and ball sacks the size of softballs. I can cook you a piece of it right now and you would swear to me its store bought pork...
Just my opinion
+1
well i am glad that you are able to eat it. i stand corrected. but most of what i read on hear and other sites is how people soak it. and then put so much sauce on it. i guess so you dont no what you are eatting. my point if u just cant kill it, put it right on the grill, or fry it, with out covering up the taste and smell. then its not so great thats my point.but the next time i just want to kill one with softball nuts i bring it to you..
Aint heard it from me. Never had a tough one,and they do stink worse on the outside.I personally don't shoot many hogs off of stands, just kill them when I have to.
