Scared the holy you know what outta me and my wife and daughter. A big gator's awesome, but when one of em thumps the canoe with a tail with ur kid onboard is a bit too much.
Try walking on one while wade fishing Lake Arbuckle.
No thanks. Had one about the same size decide it wanted my castnet more than me over off of the beeline near Port Canaveral. Thing came straight outta the mangroves and destroyed my net while I sprinted on water the other way. Used to think the big ones were less aggressive than the 4-6 footers, but my opinion's changing.
When I was young one of the things me and my brother and a few buddies did was wade fish Arbuckle religously.I would never do that again.I can't tell you how many times I stepped on things that got up and moved,or a big bull would pop his head up between me and where I was going. One time I got into the middle of a bunch of babies.Oh but the fish we'd catch, can't replace them days.
I'm gonna put in but not sure where yet. Wherever it is I have a long drive so any suggestions for the best place to just show up and wing it with no scouting?
