First post and new member.

I just locked up a new lease in Wacissa, Fl.

Never used anything but corn feeders prev to this, but I have been reading about the diesel fuel and jello mixtures etc... My question does this drive off turkey or deer? Some of our best hog areas are near the feed patches and I dont want to start driving off the deer and turkey for the other guys on the lease.

Welcome to the forum

I was in a lease just south of Wacissa on 59. If you start adding jello to your corn, you'll have every bear in the county there

Dry corn works as well as any mix. Diesel will keep the coons away

the lease is on 59 right across from aucillo. Im not putting it in the feeders, just spreading it and burrying it near the food plots.

Plan on leaving straight corn in the feeders but wanted a little extra for the hogs in off season.

Thanks for the tips on the jello though.

What kind of turkey do you see in that area? Im in south fl and used to osceola, ive read thats eastern area.

They are Easterns.

Where on 59 are you? PM me if you want. I leased the same area, just curious how close you are to where I was

dont put corn anywhere near your food plot.. farmers pay money to get hogs out cause they can tear up an acre a night. i know i put alot of money into my food plot and i know hogs can just show up also (which usually happens) but putting corn near your food plot is asking to lose money.
