Seriously, I think you can get off easier running over an old lady pushing a shopping cart than you can shooting a bear. You better be able to prove you were in danger or don't do it
So when can you shoot a bear in FL? If he threatens you, or does he have to chew one of your legs off before you can shoot?
Never... I knew of a guy who got busted in Madison Co. Loggers found dead bear,called FWC,autopsy found .35 in carcass,FWC checked everyone in lease who shoots .35's,FWC caught dude,dude went to jail and paid fines that were catostrophic. Best advice I could give you is don't spread feed around if you have even 1 bear.

I heard that a good commercial grade chipper/shredder works well to return nuisance bears to nature. Between the buzzards, ants, and opossums, there won't be anything left in 2 days.
