Yes I tend to put at the end of the barrel for bird hunting but closer to the receiver end for slugs and turkey, when I am aiming at something more stationary than a dove. The first one I listed was 20 bucks. Some positively reviewed red dot are only $40
How do you prove to the man on WMA during deer season that you are only hog hunting?
:chain
small game & hogs only at the wma I'm going to, shotgun/ mzl/ or rimfire only allowed. the only capacity limits I read were on semi auto/centerfire rifles, or shotguns ( only if hunting migratory birds ) otherwise no capacity for shotguns that I found. they come in paks of 5 so I won't have to carry 2 in my pockets and fumble for them if needed ( doubtfull, but possible )
I guess if you don't have a deer on the ground you are OK...really if you tell him what you are doing, are well versed in the rules and tell him he is more likely to believe you....besides he cannot prove otherwise.
if I were using that set up for deer I would have to plug it for 5-max capacity, which is a giant PIA when using 3 1/2" shells cuz if your mag can hold 4- 3 1/2" rounds it will hold 5 - 2 3/4" ones, thus putting you over capacity, but if you only have 3 1/2" shells on your person you should still be OK? right?, hell If deer hunting with the 3 1/2's I'd probly just remove the extended mag and go with 3 max capacity and live with it. never needed more than 3 for deer anyway. hogs I'm too new to it to be sure but for now I'd be more comfortable with the extra 2 rounds.
