hogs are full of false charges if you stand your ground.

usually don't get 75 yards to react though. most of my encounters have started within 40 yds. gotta be quick. Uncle Sam made sure I was quick with a pump shot gun. that is just back up for the people I take.

anyone ever have one just charge you unknowingly? like just walking in the woods and you scare it and it trys to attack?

About ten years ago we were running a big boar hog in San Pedro Bay. I was on foot flanking them in a cutover when the hog busted out about 250 yards ahead of me. I stopped ,led the hog and started dumping on him and he never slowed down. He headed straight toward the trucks,then one of the trucks started rocking back and forth,then my buddy shot him as he passed between the 2 trucks. When I got there he told me the hog veared of and slammed the back bumper of the truck. One of his cutters was laying there and a blood spot on the bumper. After looking at him we realized I shot him in the nuts and blew the clean off. True story.
