crock ,you used buckshot on those 2 hogs? 00 buck or what and 1 shot each? be honest. kemster thats why I'm still kinda on the fence of slugs vs shot, Im used to slugs and never not had a complete pass thru and it leaves a great blood trail if the shots a little off. but again I've never had a chance at a big hog. what do you think that one was, over 250? 00 buck is comforting in the thick palmettos esp in the dark. mostly I've been using the scoped rifled bbl and a sig/sauer 45acp for the thick stuff. what pistol would you recomend for hogs ( close ) ya think 357 with 180 gr is enuf? I'd like to keep the bbl length 4-6"

its about how close you are them when you shoot. 1 shot drops them and the 2nd stops the squealing. 1 shot would work but i dont feel like hearing one scream for his posse to come and charge loll. than ima have to skin more than one.
