Well this past sunday 1/10/2010 me and Kemster went to a local Wma and put the smackdown on some hogs.
Well we got there at 6 am. Parked and decided to walk. Within a half hour we saw a HUGE hog. This thing at first we thought was a dam cow. So we both stopped and kemster said ima take it. I was like ok man.. So he shot this thing with buckshott and i swear to god this thing just looked at us and walked away. SERIOUSLY. We both dropped out jaws and were like HOLY CRAP. So we did the good thing and walked to the spot he was at and not a drop of blood and he didnt scream or run. He was just very big and the buckshott probably did nothing to him.
So then we kept walking and we saw a sow to the right at about 40 yards rooting. So i decided to take this one. I stalked up to it to about 10 feet and took her. We gutted her, marked the tree and then went to get the game cart. Got her in the truck and then went ot another spot. Hunted it there for a while before we started to get hungry. We went ot the skinning rack, Skinned and Quartered the sow and got her in the cooler.. Then went for lunch.
So then we are driving around and see a group of people and they told us that they have been chasing these two red and black hogs all morning. So we were like ok man good luck.. and drove off. We went up the road and pulled over on the other side of the road. Me and kemster were just walking and this big red hog gets up and hauls ass in 6th gear through the palmettos. So we decide to follow her. We split up about 100 yards from each other and walked through the palmettos. As im walking i see some fresh scat. Still smoking. So i signaled to kemster to come my way and he didnt hear me. So i walked a little more and heard oinking in the palmettos.
I just stopped and out came that big red sow walking pretty fast. I walk right behind her and she had no idea as im raising my gun to take the shot another black boar comes out behind her and literally cut me off walking right past me. (seriously she could of said "excuse me sir please move out the way" lol.. I put the gun down and shot her at like 10 yards and she dropped. Kemster came to meet me and he gutted him as i went to get the game cart (it was only like 30 yards away) Put that boar in the truck and hunted more. By this time it was like 6 pm and were were tired. Went back to the skinning rack, skinned and quartered that boar and got it in the cooler..
All all a very good weekend. Got 2 hogs a sow and a boar. The sow was 130 and the bore was 100. Also i found 3 sheds and a turtle shell.. I had a great time.

had good time. used to be a time i got paid for finding hogs for people. lol. j/k. was fun, have my slug gun ready for next time. that biggun isn't gonna laugh off a slug like he did that buckshot. he was a VERY large hog.
