From what I recall ya'll are 2 for 2 on WMA's - nice going!
WMA's are all I've got to hunt on , and man can they be frustrating. The sweet spot this one come from has gotten a lot of pressure, some even from after legal shooting time. I was there until time to go last night, and got there today to find guts and blood from a small pig right on the path in. It was not question from the night before.
I have one day left and I am working a big herd 8-9 of them in a different area. They are moving around a lot , and they are real weary, wish me luck.I know how frustrating WMA's can be especially when you have other folks who don't play by the rules coming in behind you. I guess that is what makes your success even more sweeter when it happens. Have you hunted Lochloosa any more? I do believe the small game is open til 3/6. Good luck where ever you all end up!
Devil's Hammock was a bit busier then I hoped. Total listed was 14 hogs, that hunters cared to sign out. Last thing I saw was a huge coyote, way at the end of a road.
Now that Devil's Hammock is over I'll be back to Lochloosa this weekend. Last two weeks there.

Well good luck to you! I used to run all over Lochloosa back when it was one big WMA. From what I've heard its a lot drier these days than it used to be.
Haven't been since Devil's hammock opened ( much closer). I am sure they are moving much more then usual. Hogs pushing into other hogs territories and fighting was helpful in taking the last one out of there.
I can't wait.
