at homosassa its rimfires, shotguns and mzl's only, and alot of people are succesful and swearing by the 22 mag. now I know I must be pt and wait for that perfect shot, which is basicly what I do anyway. I would think a good quality 22mag hp behind the ear should drop any hog. what do you think, too light? or go for it as I can take some squirels also as thats all I'm seeing lately
Hey Nacho, I have shot alot of hogs with my marlin 22 mag and it does real well. Like you said you just have to pick your shots. I think I even saw some ballistic tips in 22 mag the other day at walmart.
Don't miss,I've killed a few this year with a knife.
I've been the first one in the woods at homosassa the last 2 days now and I left the 22 mag in the trunk, just not as comforting walking around in the dark as a 12 gauge ( I don't use flashlights unless I absolutely have to ). maybe I'll give it a go for the pm hunt. if I grow a pair in the meantime.
far?, I don't want them going anywhere but down.
