I have 2 hunts planned that I get to travel to. 1st is Mississippi for a week of hunting and camping with some good friends and the 2nd is the St Vincent hunt in January. Looking for any legal deer in Mississippi and on St Vincent, stock the freezer, get my first hog, and enjoy the outdoors with some good friends and family.
Been invited to hunt a big lease up in SC, so got to work out when with the guy. Had some generous invites from friends here as well, so if I can I'll kill a hog or two and maybe a decent buck I'll be tickled to death.
My goals are rather simple......
1) Hopefully fill my gator tags in late Aug
2) A couple of hogs. If I am REAL lucky maybe one on my Lake Marion still hunt that is scheduled
3) My first deer.
I would say my first turkey but I think that would be pushing it. 🙂
Good company, campfires & food, an aged bottle of bourbon and a well lit cigar at the end of the day. I would like to fill the freezer but that will not determine my success this year. I want to put in more time with the bow this season and really looking forward to hunting with my new 30-30 lever. Heres to hoping I get one of those QDM bucks from the Flint River valley up in Macon County, GA come November.
