some ?'s: how long have you noticed it?, can you recall when/how it happened?does it change in size or move in/out while straining? more importantly does it bother you? if so see a md and don't ignore it till it gets worse like I did with my knee. it could be an easy or no need to fix if caught early. in the mean time NO STRAINING while at work, lifting,pooping, hunting or sex. and don't take the word of your mailman or a stranger behind you in line at the grocery store. see a Pro, it may save you money in the long run.
better to be safe than sorry if it gets real bad you won't be able to work anyway let alone hunt. if your truck breaks you find a way to fix it. do the same for yourself. you may get lucky and it may not be a biggie, but it's not gonna get better by worrying about it. good luck.
i have had one since 2005, had my gall bladder taken out thru belly button. dr. said keep an eye on it if it gets any bigger may need to fix. biggest concern is if it pops out it could possibly pinch the intestine and then there would be a problem. i usally just push it back in. feels kinda funny at first, but it has never gave me any pain or problems, you can tell when it pops out, looks i have a outtie belly button, little push on it and its back in. so in 7 yrs i have had it no problems. knock on wood with that. good luck with yours.
