Do you accept credit cards?

I used to thru quick books. I got pissed off with quick books and cancelled them a few years ago. Simply for the fact I couldn't get an English speaking person on the phone when I had a problem. Since then I have only been accepting cash and checks

Looks like I am getting a need again to accept them
SO what good(CHEAP) programs are out there to accept cc's? I just saw an add for a product called square up. Plugs in your smart phone and charges 2.75% of the fee. No other charges, so they say

???

I know its not a great solution, but I use Paypal to accept credit cards. Folks dont have to sign up to make a one time payment if they just choose the option when you send them an invoice. I think you can even set it up so you can use your PDA to accept cards thru paypal, but I have never done that bit.

My sales are not enough that I can afford the monthly CC fees, so I need something for once is a blue moon sales, and paypal works fine for me. I even have a debt card set up so when I get paid, I can use the paypal debit card to order materials.

good luck

From a consumers point of view, I never swipe my card on a device that's connected to someone's phone. I'm not sure how other people feel about that or if you've done that in the past, but I'm always wary about cc fraud.
I know that the devices are secure, but it's just something that doesn't sit well especially after going through the hassle of cc fraud that I experienced.

I have a friend that owns a pest control business in wesley chapel. I'll ask him if he takes cc. If he does, I'll give you his number if you want to talk with him.

We have used the SquareUp app in our cafe at church. There are no hidden fees that I'm awahere of. It's simple to use and the card swiper plugs right into your iphone. Works great as far as I know from the folks who run the cafe. I haven't heard a complaint anyhow.
