My wife, myself and my youngest daughter are headed to Swaziland in Africa for a mission trip tomorrow morning. We'll be flying over to Johannesburg SA, and then driving about 8hrs north into Swaziland. Please keep us and our team of 13 in prayer for traveling mercies and that the Lord will show Himself through the ministry that He has called us to do. Thanks. If y'all drive 8 hours north of Jo'berg, you'll be in Botswana or Zimbabwe! Swaziland should be a few hours east of Jo'berg.
We lived in South Africa when I was 11-12 years old. That was in the mid-70s, and a lot different time for that country. It's a beautiful country, or at least it used to be. We tried to visit Swaziland one time, but we couldn't enter on just our passports, if I recall correctly.
As you probably know, Swaziland has had the world's highest HIV rate for many years. The people there need the Lord, and I pray a special, powerful blessing for you and your group as you serve Jesus and spread love and everlasting hope. Your work on a hospital is especially important, as you know. It is the service to others that speaks more to their hearts than all the words you can say.
You and your team will be in my prayers, and I will spread the word to those who I know will join in lifting you all up to the Lord.
Thanks brother. And you are correct about the direction East vs North. I was told that the drive from Johannesburg to Siteki was from 6-8hrs by the folks that are there right now. I looked at Bing Maps and it said about 5hrs, anyhow. It's a long drive. Thanks for your prayers!
