had to take grampa to hospital thur. looks like he may be in a few more days, and looks like he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. they are doing bone scans and such to see if it has matastisized. not going to be easy on a 90 yr old man, but it is what it is i suppose. i just hope god doesnt make him suffer.
We burried my grandmother yesterday. Luckily she went peacefully. Hopefully your granddad doesn't suffer much with what he is going thru. Hopefully he is at peace and his family is at peace. Kind of a shitty weekend all around. Burried my last grandmother, the one is was the closest with on Saturday and this morning woke up to find the family dog was dead. Iwas in the yard @ 6:45 diggin a hole thu s morning. Anyhow, hope all goes as well as it can for you and your family. Prayers are with you.
The fact that you guys show such love and concern for your grandparents speaks volumes about the kind of people they must have been and the love that they instilled in their families. That's the way it should be, but It doesn't always happen that way.... I am sure this brings them peace and contentment.
sorry to hear that micah. condolences to you and your family. this is my last grandparent, the only grandfather i have ever known. thanks davet.
Condolences to you. For several reasons, my grandpa took over as father. There are many times I feel that he passed too soon. He had so much left to teach me. After 15 or so years battling cancer, he passed in 1996. TOD was ten minutes after I walked the aisle for my high school graduation. After my sister, who is five years older, graduated, he turned to me and told me he just had to last long enough for mine.
