They sell a "mineral bag". Kind of a canvas bag that you pour the mineral in and hang it up nose height. As it rains it drips, plus they can lick it. I started to buy one, but remembered I have a bunch of burlap sacks. Think I will get various blocks and toss them in it and hang it up
I put mineral blocks out and they barely last 6 months. I will have to put a camera and see who's using it the most.
Went the woods this morning check the lick. I left early and didn't have any mineral to add so i had to substitute. I took a pick before and after. Looked like maybe something had eaten a little bit..

We put a mineral lick out in a couple of spots last year up at the Live Oak property. Didn't have much luck with it. Looked like it just leached into the ground. May try the blocks to see what happens. Keep us posted on your findings.
Even if it leaches into the ground wildlife will come and eat the dirt and dig it up.
