Dude that sucks! But dont let them win and mess up family time. I completely understand the feeling of someone vandalizing you place! Get a pic of them and make them pay! Nothing worse than a vandalizing theft!

Sorry state when you can't leave anything on your own property and expect it to be there when you return. My neighbor owns property in North Fl and can't leave anything even locked and secured. So take it up and bring it back just like hunting on any WMA.

sorry to hear this. I was not a lazy cop when worked in uniform. I did everything possible to solve crap like this. If u get to takes pics if there is a next time and the lazy cop shows up, tell him to forget about it and go directly to the state atty. they have an investigative staff that likes doing different things. keep the smile and the family close.

My wife and son had events to attend Saturday so I went back alone on Saturday morning. For the first time I carried my pistol with me at all times while out there.

I put up a sign at the entrance and at the rear of the property that warned to keep out and of remote security system on the property. I installed two solar panels and two cellular antennas (both are functioning unit) on top of two largest trees on the property plus six motion sensors… one that can be seen from the entrance and one at the back and four scattered around the property. Basically I just want to make people think twice before coming on the property. If someone does come back again I’ll install some real security motion cameras with cellular connection to my computer back home. Powered by the solar panel and connected to the cellular system, I can get around the clock recording of anything that moves out there.

Also for intimidation factor I took my M-16 out there and dumped 300 rounds in bunch of long burst just before leaving at sunset.

We’ll go back in two weeks and we’ll start on the garden and flower bed again.
