I bought a 1979 Kawasaki 1,000cc new for 2,000$, ended up giving it away in 1998. I'd of gladly traded for a mil spec 590. not sure if it now being an antique/retro makes it worth more or not. when fixed up with high performance header pipes/carbs/hot coil/wires,air filters, they were great performers. kind of ushering in the superbike era. guess it depends on condition.

Anything worth doing is worth overdoing
